10% Rise in Dwelling Prices in First Quarter of 2005 10% Rise in Dwelling Prices in First Quarter of 2005 According to a specialized survey carried out by the National Statistical Institute (NSI) the highest market prices of dwellings have been recorded in Varna, the Black sea capital of Bulgaria. Real estate prices in Varna have reached BGN 1 200.5/sq.m.Dwelling prices have risen by 10.8% as compared to the last quarter of 2004. The average price per 1 sq. m floor space in Sofia is BGN 1159,5 (a rise of 5,9% as compared to the last quarter of 2004). The average price of housing per square meter in the whole country is BGN 700,5. There is a clear tendency for dwelling prices to rise in the expectation of foreign tourists, investors and Bulgaria's accession to the EU. The dwellings in Bourgas are sold for BGN 1000/sq.m. The lowest prices of dwellings are recorded in Kyustendil (BGN 316.5/sq.m.), Vidin (BGN 336.7/sq.m.), Razgrad (BGN 351/sq.m.), Silistra (BGN 389.8/sq.m.). A rise in real estate prices in the first quarter of 2005 is recorded in Blagoevgrad-25%, Shumen- 30%, Vratsa-30,5% and Rousse-19.8%. Print this!
